Tonya is AFAA certified and hasa Bachelor’s degree in Communication from U of H. For over 10 years, she has had an intense passion for fitness in so many areas…UGI, Shockwave, BodyPump, TRX, Zumba & Cycle certified. She also teaches Mat Pilates, Bootcamp, Step, Cardio Kickboxing and Water Aerobics. Sharing this passion with others “makes my day!” Her hobbies include outdoor cycling & traveling; however, the greatest joy in her life is her active 11 year old daughter. She also likes to bargain shop, eat good food & watch movies.

Barre is a fusion of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and orthopedic inspired stretches. Combining these disciplines with a fitness system firms, lengthens, and shapes muscles to their most optimal form: high rounded seats, flat outer thighs, lean long torsos and defined waistlines. You will burn fat quickly and increase lean muscle mass by using your own body weight for resistance while performing precise isometric movements. Muscles are worked to the point of fatigue and then stretched and lengthened using orthopedic and ballet inspired stretches. This low impact class is an intense hour long mind-body system of concentrated movements to driving rhythms followed by an inspirational cool down.
Get ready for strength and conditioning at its best! Your workout will start with a dynamic warm-up targeting joint mobility that will increase your heart rate and have you ready for an intense workout. Your session will be circuit based with a focus on fat-loss by improving overall strength and endurance. Be ready to work with dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, heavy medicine balls and much more! Your trainer will be there to demonstrate, explain, and even modify the workout should you need it!
